South Summit updates its website to guarantee full accessibility for people with disabilities

South Summit, the benchmark meeting for the entrepreneurial and innovative ecosystem, continues to take steps to ensure that innovation and entrepreneurship are available to everyone. In this sense, South Summit has updated its website so that people with disabilities can navigate with full accessibility and without barriers.

To this end, South Summit has installed Viewser, the web accessibility widget developed by the startup Bemyvega, which aims to reduce the digital divide for people with disabilities and help them improve their accessibility to online content.

In this way, the widget installed on the South Summit website adapts to the needs of each person with a disability. For example, people with low vision can magnify the text and content of the web using a magnifying glass, while those with total blindness can follow the online content through a screen reader that interprets the different texts, links and titles.

Moreover, Viewser also adapts South Summit's web content and images based on the six different types of colour blindness that exist, while people with monochromaticism can also access it without problems since the widget is able to adapt the content to two colours, black and white. In addition, the widget developed by Bemyvega also adapts the South Summit website so that people with epilepsy, ADHD or dyslexia can read its content without any barriers.

According to the WHO, 15% of the world's population has some physical, intellectual or sensory disability that hinders their inclusion in today's world, while in Spain the National Institute of Statistics (INE) estimates that 10% of the population has some type of disability.
