CES Honoree 2022, Bird Buddy, debuted its smart bird feeder at CES 2022 in what was the first ‘Tech for Nature’ consumer product at the show. Attendees of the show were able to see an exclusive, never seen before, one:one online app experience demo accompanied by one of Bird Buddy’s three founders. Bird Buddy is the world’s first ever smart bird feeder recording and recognising bird visitors to backyards.
CES 2022 came to a close at the end of last week, following three days filled with thousands of product debuts unveiling innovation that will better the world and solve global challenges. More than 2300 exhibiting companies from around the world, including more than 800 startups, launched products featuring innovation across artificial intelligence, automotive technology, digital health, smart home and more.

New data released today shows that nearly 40 million Brits (78%) have shopped ‘small’ this festive season. SEON, the fraud fighters, has announced its partnership with Playtech, the gaming software developers. The online gambling market is experiencing a meteoric rise (expected to reach $1trn this year). However, the sector is becoming an increasingly high target – even before the pandemic, a 2019 study found that one in 20 online gaming accounts were associated with a fraudster. By joining forces, SEON and Playtech aim to significantly reduce this number.
Tech Nation has today announced the 5 East of England Regional Winners of its fourth Rising Stars competition, which recognises the brightest and best early-stage tech scaleups from every area of the UK. In total, 55 fast-growing tech companies from across the UK have been named this year’s Regional Winners – 5 within each UK region.
