The hotel sector of Malaga hangs the complete poster in most of its accommodations. DES-Digital Enterprise Show, the reference event in southern Europe on digital transformation that will be held for the first time in Malaga from June 14 to 16, 2022, has managed to fill the city for next week.  According to direct sources from hotels established in the capital of Malaga, the travel agency of the event and accommodation platforms consulted, the occupancy level is 96% between June 14 and 16.

DES2022 will bring together more than 12,000 international congressmen throughout the three days of the event, who will come to the Andalusian city with the aim of knowing the latest innovations and solutions to carry out a digital transformation in different industries. With this figure, it should be taken into account that, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics last March, Malaga has 12,106 places offered in hotel establishments. Therefore, occupancy will touch almost  100% per week of DES.

To welcome all the attendees of the technological event, they have begun to look for alternative locations that are characterized by having a good fabric in terms of accommodations. This is the case of Torremolinos or Benalmádena, cities near Malaga which have developed hotel complexes capable of accommodating thousands of guests.

Thus, these data it is expected to improve the economic impact of DES2022 in Malaga as well as increase the contracting of services related to the tourism, culture, and gastronomy industry.
