Squarespace launches mentorship programme in partnership with The Stack World
Squarespace, an all-in-one website builder and ecommerce platform, continues their partnership with members’ platform, The Stack World. Together they have launched a mentorship programme, which aims to empower and encourage female creators who are keen to take the leap into getting their business idea off the ground.
10 applicants will be selected to take part in the two month-long mentorship programme. Top female executives, including The Stack World founder and CEO, Sharmadean Reid, Danielle Chadha, Intl Marketing Director at Squarespace, and Olivia Ferdi, Co-Founder at UK's leading premium CBD brand TRIP alongside others, will become dedicated mentors.
As part of the wider partnership, Squarespace and The Stack World are hosting the upcoming The Stack World Conference, which offers access to 12 hours of unique and curated events to inspire and educate budding entrepreneurs. The Stack World and Squarespace, with this partnership and mentorship programme, are looking to help address and remove many obstacles that female creators face when hitting the next milestones in building their business.
The selected mentees of the programme will receive:
- 1:1 mentorship each over the course of two months on topics specific to their desired industry
- Complimentary invite to the Stack World Conference where they’ll learn, debate and explore sustainability, economics, technology and equality
- Squarespace expert-led Creator workshop on how to build and maintain their brand online
- One-year Squarespace subscription where they can grow their online presence, share their stories, and transact with their customers in an impactful and beautiful online presence
- Exclusive invite to an end-of-mentorship dinner whereby all will connect and share their experience of the programme
The mentorship programme is tailor-made for creators who are looking for the support, guidance and knowledge that both the Squarespace and The Stack World communities have to offer. The application process will be open to and encourage applications from those who are current and aspiring Founders and Co-Founders.
Applicants are asked to submit a one page business plan and the selected mentees will lean on their mentors on execution whether that be for content creation, brand communication or helping to establish a visual identity.
“Squarespace and The Stack World both share a joint vision of championing creators at every stage in their journey. This mentorship programme will empower ten women to gain vital business building skills, whilst receiving advice from some of the most inspirational business women in the UK,” said Danielle Chadha, International Marketing Director at Squarespace.
“We’re excited to be playing a part in helping creators kick start their business and give them the opportunity to learn from The Stack World’s uplifting network that spans so many different creative sectors.”
Sharmadean Reid, founder and CEO of The Stack World, shares, “The Stack World exists to power women’s communities in every sense of the word, from offering tools and expert advice, to building your peer circle and networking.
"Via the new mentorship programme and the all-day Stack Conference, we will continue to arm young business women with all the relevant information and skills that they can use in both their own personal and professional journeys.”
Applications for the mentorship programme will open on Thursday 1st September and will stay open until 23rd September.
