At ISE 2026, Managing Editor Paige Hookway spoke with Jens Markebjer, Chief Sales Officer at StageSmarts, a Swedish manufacturer specialising in advanced power distribution solutions for live events and installations.
StageSmarts’ systems stand out for their ability to be monitored and managed remotely from virtually anywhere in the world. As Markebjer explains, an engineer can be “sitting back home on the sofa” while keeping a close eye on what’s happening on a show or concert on the other side of the globe. This remote capability allows users to track real-time performance of their power setup, including critical parameters such as earth leakage, and to generate detailed energy reports.
Beyond monitoring, operators can also control relays remotely, making it possible to react quickly to issues without needing to be physically present at the venue. Markebjer stresses that while the hardware itself is robust and high quality, it is this intelligent layer of data, control, and insight that really sets StageSmarts apart in a competitive market.
