Marc Stockli
BIO
A long-time entrepreneur and servant leader, Marc Stöckli founded his first business as a cyber-security firm more than 20 years ago. He has since dedicated himself to supporting growth among his peers as an investor, strategic advisor and counsellor in entrepreneurship. Marc is committed to doing his part to make the world a better place as a value catalyst: to engage, build trust and enhance value. He began his entrepreneurial journey in 2000 with the launch of a digital encryption business called Totemo, which he sold in 2021. Today, he is an active investor, board member and coach for newer entrepreneurial endeavours, providing guidance for a number of businesses. He has led negotiations and transactions in fundraising, mergers and acquisitions for dozens of companies, venture capitalists, private equity firms and strategic partners.
In the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, Marc has found an opportunity to satisfy his thirst for learning and meaningful connection. Since joining EO in 2008, Marc has held a number of leadership positions at the local and global levels, including past EO Zurich President and Strategic Alliances Committee Chair. In July 2022, he became the global nonprofit’s Board of Directors Chair.
A graduate of the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Marc has served as President of the Wharton Alumni Club in Switzerland for the last 20 years, where he met his wife, Chen. Marc and Chen make their home in his native central Switzerland, where they are raising a daughter and son. An avid reader, cook, wine connoisseur and mountaineer, Marc has climbed all 48 of Switzerland’s peaks over 4,000m, and speaks five languages fluently or conversationally.
