Zen Internet turns Small Business Saturday into month-long celebration

Zen Internet is marking this year’s Small Business Saturday (6th December) with a month-long social media campaign highlighting the outstanding contribution small enterprises make to the UK economy.

The company is turning its social channels into a platform for good with its #ZenSmallBusinessTakeover, spotlighting stories from some of the thousands of small businesses it supports nationwide. And, with nearly 32k followers across its network, the aim is to give independent organisations the visibility they deserve during the busiest trading period of the year.

Zen is also inviting its online community to nominate outstanding local enterprises via its LinkedIn and Facebook channels by 19th December. Three SMEs, selected at random from the nominations, will receive a £100 voucher to put towards a staff reward or end-of-year recognition initiative.

Each December, Small Business Saturday highlights the vital role independent shops, cafés, makers, digital startups, and service providers play in keeping communities vibrant. But for Zen, a certified B Corp enterprise and long-standing SME advocate, supporting small businesses is more than a single-day initiative; it’s an integral part of the company’s business as a force for good ethos.

Jon Nowell, MD of Zen Internet’s Business division, explained: “For more than 25 years, we’ve provided reliable connectivity solutions to UK small businesses at every stage of their growth – from first premises and startup teams to the expansion of regional operations.

“Small businesses are the backbone of many communities and play a huge part in underpinning the UK economy. From independent retailers to ambitious startups, we’re proud to serve thousands of SMEs across the country. We see their dedication first-hand every day, and their success matters to us. That’s why we’re celebrating them not just on Small Business Saturday, but throughout December and beyond.

“By helping to shine a light on these brilliant organisations, it’s our way of saying thank you for the big impact they make.”
