UK based Jasper SME Hub’s founder and leading SME empowerment advocate – Emmanuel Olujobi has committed to training 50,000 African businesses by 2025 in a bid to support the growth of the SME sector through the Hub. This he noted during the Hub's annual SMEFest, a gathering of entrepreneurs and industry stakeholders with the theme "Building To Scale”, held in Lagos, Nigeria recently.
During the keynote address delivered by Dr. Jumoke Oduwole MFR, the Special Adviser to the Nigerian President on the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, she outlined a series of opportunities for small businesses to leverage in 2024, highlighting government initiatives and resources aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and growth.
The SMEFest 2024 served as a platform for knowledge sharing among business owners, collaboration and networking with investors. Panel discussions delved into strategies for business growth and continuity, while the event's Business Pitch Session provided a platform for budding entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas and compete for valuable resources.
Resavation, an AI-powered real estate service platform, emerged as the winner of the pitch session, impressing the judges with its innovative approach to simplifying property search and transactions. The company's victory highlights the potential of technology to drive growth and success in the Nigerian SME landscape.
