South Summit Madrid 2025 opens the registration period for the Startup Competition
Registration is now open for the South Summit Madrid 2025 startup Competition, co-organised by IE University to select the most innovative and disruptive projects in the market. Interested startups can submit their applications before January 31 through the following link:
From among all the candidate projects, a specialized jury made up of renowned investors and experts from the global entrepreneurial ecosystem will choose the 100 finalist startups, which will compete to be crowned the global winner of the Startup Competition at South Summit Madrid 2025, held from June 4 to 6 at La Nave in Madrid.
The South Summit Startup Competition has established itself as a synonym for visibility and success for participating projects. In fact, more than 1,000 finalist startups from all editions have achieved 108 exits and a 90% survival rate. Additionally, 80% of these startups have raised $16.2 billion across nearly 2,000 rounds of investment after participating in South Summit. Moreover, Cabify, JobandTalent and Factorial are some of the seven unicorns that have participated in the Startup Competition at South Summit Madrid.

The 13th edition of South Summit Madrid brought together more than 18,000 attendees from 133 countries between June 5 and 7 of this year, including more than 6,500 entrepreneurs, more than 2,000 investors with an investment portfolio of more than $500 billion -$174 billion more than last year-, and more than 6,000 representatives of corporations from around the world, in addition to 26 internationally renowned unicorns.
After passing through Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile and Argentina, South Summit held its third edition in Brazil, also co-organised by IE University, in March of this year. This latest edition brought together more than 23,500 attendees from 55 different countries, including more than 3,000 startups and 900 investment funds, ready to support the best innovative ideas from around the world thanks to a portfolio of $213 billion. South Summit Brazil is already preparing its fourth edition, which will be between April 9 and 11, 2025.
