Building on the success of its home chargers, the commercial-grade Business Series is designed for a wide range of applications, from multi-dwelling residences such as apartment blocks, to private parking, public or leisure facilities, and business premises.

Offering the same design modularity as the company’s existing Home Series, there are four commercial-grade AC charger options available:

• Single Wall Mount charger – a single-socket, untethered charger, starting from £877.79 exc. VAT
• Single Free Standing charger – a post-mounted, single socket, untethered solution, starting from £1,864.15 exc. VAT
• Dual Free Standing charger – a post-mounted, dual socket untethered solution, starting from £2,280.45 exc. VAT
• Plinth Only (dual-socket), priced at £412.85 exc. VAT

Available from February 2024 as either 7kW single-phase or 22kW three-phase configurations, with Type 2 Mode 3 compatibility and OZEV approval. Optional MID meter, OCPP compliance and dynamic load balancing features ensure the Business Series caters to a diverse range of premises and customer charging requirements.

Technology that means Business

All Business Series chargers are OCPP compliant, offering total freedom to business owners, with optional MID (Measuring Instruments Directive) certified advanced features. MID electricity meters are essential for businesses needing precise and OFGEM-compliant kWh billing.

Dedicated desktop software simplifies charger management, allowing users to control charger access, set charging rates and generate comprehensive reports across multiple sites.

The Onboard Doctor feature diagnoses and addresses potential issues and alerts owners if further maintenance is required, minimising downtime and enhancing charge point reliability.

Simpson & Partners is also offering a Plinth Only product: a simple, elegant way to future-proof parking spaces for electric vehicles. Plinth Only has all the underground infrastructure installed, but without chargers attached to the free-standing post. This solution allows businesses to claim the OZEV Government grant to help with installation costs, while enabling the addition of chargers as demand increases or as budgets permit.

Bespoke British Design

The Business Series chargers are available in a range of six colours - Goodwood Green and Midnight Blue (both new 2024 colours) as well as Cotswold Green, Corten Earth, Anthracite Grey and Black. Bespoke colours are available on request for specific projects, allowing the chargers to stand out or blend in, as per the customers’ requirements.

The Free Standing and Plinth Only units have a central pillar made from extruded aluminium to protect internal wirings, while integrated charger fronts are made from injection moulded aluminium. These metal parts are powder coated to ensure the chargers are durable and maintain their aesthetic, even after heavy use.

All products are carefully engineered in Britain by skilled artisans at Simpson & Partners’ manufacturing facility in the Cotswolds, using local suppliers and materials. A blend of structurally-stable, high-quality woods, solid aluminium and hand-painted finishing engenders the unique, high-quality EV charging solutions Simpson & Partners are known for.
