Retrograde launches 2.0: the AI talent agent empowering the creator economy

Retrograde has officially launched Retrograde 2.0, a major upgrade to its AI AutoPilot for content creators. Founded by entrepreneurs Grace Beverley and Jake Browne, Retrograde has redefined the creator economy by offering an AI-powered assistant that manages brand sponsorships end-to-end, following a successful $1.9 million funding round, led by Elkstone and other angel investors.

A 24/7 AI agent for content creators – now smarter, faster, and fully in-app

Retrograde 2.0’s AutoPilot acts as an always-on AI agent, helping creators with:

  • Managing inboxes and deal flow
  • Negotiating and securing brand deals
  • Supporting deliverables and execution
  • Handling admin and invoicing with ease

The entire experience now lives inside Retrograde’s dedicated app – built specifically for creators. From deal chat and smart notifications to live dashboards and performance tracking, creators can manage their brand partnerships end-to-end in one intuitive platform. Instant SMS updates ensure they stay in the loop at every step – no inbox required.

Revolutionising the talent management model

Traditional talent agencies struggle to serve the fast-growing creator economy, leaving many influencers without adequate representation. Retrograde’s AI-driven solution breaks down these barriers by offering an affordable and scalable alternative, ensuring creators gain access to world-class brand management.

“Having worked with creators for nearly a decade, it was crucial to build this product in a way that’s truly accessible,” said Jake Browne, CEO & Co-Founder of Retrograde. “Creators have massive audiences demanding their attention. Our AutoPilot – Emma – integrates directly with how they already communicate – now exclusively in app with SMS notifications – keeping everything easy to use, streamlined and effortless.”

Empowering creators with smarter automation

Historically, content creators have relied on talent agencies, often paying 20% of their gross income for management services. While this model made sense in traditional entertainment, most brand deals for creators are straightforward and don’t require a high-cost middleman.

“When Jake first reached out, I was just giving feedback on the idea,” said Grace Beverley, a content creator and businesswoman with over 1 million Instagram followers and 600K YouTube subscribers. “But after seeing the early AutoPilot prototype, I knew I had to be involved. Retrograde 2.0 is an even bigger game-changer for creators.”

 Industry veterans driving innovation

Jake Browne previously founded Peblo, an invoice financing company for content creators, which was acquired by Wayflyer in 2022.
