OVHcloud & Yepic.AI announce startup pitching day to build Europe’s AI community

OVHcloud and Yepic.AI have announced the launch of their Startup Programme Showcase, looking at AI and the rise of Generative AI.

The event is in partnership with Intel Ignite, Intel Corporation’s acceleration program for early-stage deep tech startups, and brings together AI and generative AI startups with VCs and other corporate organisations. It takes place at the Dream Factory in Shoreditch on the 16th May from 16.30 until 22.00, and will see VCs, experts and entrepreneurs attend for pitching, fireside chats, keynote speeches and networking opportunities.

“This event is another step on our journey to build a highly collaborative ecosystem where we bring together talented start-ups, committed investors, robust technology providers and a supportive network of mentors and startup alumni, all helping to drive the industry forwards,” said Filippo Sanesi, Startup Programme Manager, OVHcloud. “AI, and specifically generative AI, have the potential to change our world for the better, but only with the right support.”

At the event, startups will have the opportunity to pitch to venture capitalists, showcase their businesses, win funding and infrastructure credits, as well as have the opportunity to network with their peers. Startups can win up to £10,000 in cloud credits with OVHcloud, while scale-ups can net £100,000 in addition to receiving ongoing technical support. The showcase will host speakers from Top London VC Funds, series B Generative AI companies, innovation growth enabler Shân Millie and Emma Dennard, OVHcloud, examining potential opportunities and threats in both generative AI and the broader AI sector as a whole.

“Generative AI is rewriting how the world communicates and creates. Its impact will be felt by every human on the face of the planet and for this reason we started the Gen AI Community.” said Aaron Jones, Founder of Yepic.ai. “But like all sectors, startups and scale-ups face many difficulties, like accessing investment, talent and compute. Our partnership with OVH addresses these issues by facilitating community, compute and collaboration at scale. This event aims to help entrepreneurs, startups and scales-up by building a world-leading community, as well as providing inspiring content, nuggets of wisdom and peer support in conjunction with some of the most respected names in the industry.”

The event also features panel discussions where industry experts will discuss the latest trends and opportunities in AI and Generative AI, as well as the investment landscape and the potential threats and challenges facing the industry. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with other professionals and startups in the field, sharing best practice.

“Many early-stage startups – even those in high-growth, high-potential industries like AI and generative AI – struggle without the right guidance and support,” said Ofer Shayo, Managing Director, Intel Ignite London. “Intel Ignite works with startup founders to develop product market fit and bring them to market faster, helping overcome the hurdles that startups face. We’re delighted to be part of this event and to be part of this fast-growing community by helping to bring better, smarter, more robust AI systems to life.  As part of our commitment to the generative AI eco system, we are currently accepting applications for Batch 1 of Intel Ignite London and welcome startups who have raised over $1 million to apply, via our website.”
