NEXUS and S-Tron Sign MoU to Strengthen UK–China Startup Collaboration
NEXUS, the UK-based innovation hub supporting high-growth founders in the creative, digital, and tech sectors, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with S-Tron, China’s leading innovation event platform. The agreement formalises a strategic partnership to enhance cross-border collaboration between the UK and Chinese startup ecosystems.
This partnership brings together two organisations with a shared commitment to nurturing innovation and accelerating global business growth. Under the MoU, NEXUS and S-Tron will work together to increase access for Chinese startups to European markets while supporting UK-based companies seeking greater visibility and engagement in China’s fast-growing tech landscape.
S-Tron, which evolved from Slush China, is now one of China’s most dynamic tech and innovation culture events. It attracts over 10,000 attendees annually, with more than 13,000 expected this year. With a mission to bridge global innovation communities, S-Tron has become a leading platform where founders, investors, and corporate leaders come together to shape the future of technology and entrepreneurship in China. It is widely recognised as one of the most effective gateways into the Chinese and broader Asian innovation landscape.
The MoU outlines a series of joint initiatives, including opportunities for mutual promotion, startup engagement, and community-led programming. Both organisations will explore event-based collaborations, support for startup delegations, and new ways to promote cross-border investment and talent exchange.
“At S-Tron China, we believe innovation is cultivated through global connection.
We’re glad to welcome NEXUS as an official UK ecosystem community partner for S-Tron Shanghai 2025. From Asia to Europe, we’re building bridges that empower founders, startups, and changemakers to scale across borders” - Sean (Yu Chen) Song
“We’re pleased to partner with S-Tron as we continue building bridges between the UK and China’s innovation economies,” said Mark Sarfo-Kantanka, CEO of NEXUS. “Both ecosystems offer immense entrepreneurial energy, and this agreement allows us to co-create practical pathways for founders to scale globally.”
This agreement follows several weeks of informal dialogue and marks a significant step toward advancing the UK–China innovation relationship through structured, high-impact programming.
