GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP, SOVEREIGNTY AND HOW TO TAKE YOUR FREEDOM BACK

How you can explore new horizons for building location independent lifestyle, mitigate political risks and take your freedom back.

The movement of global citizenship started to expand recently. We will cover the key concepts of flag theory, self-sovereignty, the benefits of a Caribbean passport, building a plan B, and obtaining a second citizenship.

What does it mean to become a global citizen?

A global citizen is someone who is aware of and understands the wider world – and their place in it. They are a citizen of the world.  There are many definitions of that, but when you define yourself as a global citizen - shift in a perception happens.

Freedom Business Summit supports the movement of global citizenship and it is the premier online event with the key purpose to explore new horizons, mitigating geopolitical risks and taking your freedom back.

When you understand the philosophy of global citizenship - you become more flexible and less controllable. You can build a life on your own terms and you can become a Sovereign Individual.

This is one of the reasons why we are running a Freedom Business Summit.

Denys Dovgal, the founder of FBS, shares his vision:

“You know that freedom is one of the core assets and a core value and today many people fight for their freedom and privacy. When you understand the philosophy of global citizenship - you become more flexible and less controllable. You can build life on your own terms and you can become a Sovereign Individual.

This is one of the reasons why we are running a Freedom Business Summit.

This year we are hosting the 4th annual global online summit and we decided to bring together 3000+ conscious entrepreneurs, bitcoiners, world travelers, global investors and freedom seekers from all around the globe to share knowledge, experience and expertise.”

What is the philosophy of global citizenship and self-sovereignty?

Becoming self-sovereign doesn’t mean you have to buy an island and set up your own republic. You are the republic and its authority.

Claiming your authority means becoming sovereign in your consciousness and your movements, that is why it is important to invest into assets that are allowing you cross border movements across the globe.

We invite global thought speakers to share their experience and here some thoughts from Kemal Nicholson, founder at Cinvest Migration - an international firm specializing in residency and citizenship programs across the globe, with a special emphasis on the Caribbean as a niche market.

“The meaning of global citizenship is to be able to transcend geographical and political boundaries, and that the human community is interdependent and holistic.

Imagine a picture. You live in that part of the planet where you want at the moment. You are confident in the safety of your capital, that everything is in reliable banks, and no one will take it away from you. Your privacy remains your own business. And you don't pay any taxes (or very low taxes).

The purpose of flag theory is to diversify your personal and financial affairs in such a way that no state can control you. Every time you spend part of your life in a new country, you set a "flag" and diversify your life according to its aspects: geography, finance, law, lifestyle, taxes, business, health, politics, investments and more.”

Kemal Nicholson is an RCBI professional with over 5 years experience in the industry. Nicholson is the founder of Cinvest Migration, a boutique firm with an emphasis on the Caribbean niche CBI market and they are an official partner at Freedom Business Summit 2022.

What is the concept of Flag Theory?

Flag theory is the idea where it is the lifestyle of being a perpetual traveler. Its foundation implies that one country to another has different rules and regulations that make them have diverse advantages from one another.

There are countries that are perfect for setting up a company, some that are great for personal residency, others are best for financial operations and some countries are great for living.

You can maximize your freedom with flag theory

The way to maximize your freedom is to plant flags in as many countries as possible. Planting flags one at a time is the best way in starting with the flag theory and one of the easiest places to begin and gradually diversify your business, assets and life.

You can easily become a Perpetual Traveler and Citizen of the World.

You belong only to yourself and not to any state. Perpetual travelers are often on the move, but they don’t have to always travel to enjoy the benefits of flag theory.

How can you buy a second citizenship?

A Caribbean passport is a ticket to the future of your dreams. It provides great opportunities for the investor. Freedom of movement, namely visa-free or simplified access to more than 150 countries of the world, including the Schengen countries, the European Union, the UK, China, Singapore.

In Grenada, an investor gets the opportunity to apply for an e-2 business visa. Ensuring personal and family safety - there is an opportunity to apply with the family, including children, parents, brothers and sisters. As well as the safety of your business. Not unimportant is the advantage of opening and running your own business, you can do business with cryptocurrency.

States are considered crypto-friendly due to the fact that it is possible to legally conduct business with virtual assets and they are not taxed. No taxes, including taxes on wealth, dividends and inheritance.

In 1984, Saint Kitts and Nevis became the first country to offer citizenship by investment. Investors can invest in real estate on the islands or make a contribution to the state fund. For this, the investor receives a local passport. Other Caribbean countries soon followed suit.

At the moment there are 5 Caribbean countries that provide citizenship by investment under the state program, namely Saint Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada and Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica. Each program has its own advantages and limitations and helps to solve different problems.

Why do you need a Plan B?

If we’ve learned anything from the last 18 months, it’s that the world is much more uncertain than we could ever have imagined. The world is very small. You can move from anywhere in the world in just 24 or 36 hours. There is no point in holding on to one city or country - no matter how comfortable it is.

There are a huge number of countries in the world,  with their own advantages and disadvantages. All you have to do is pick the one that is working best for you and learn how to take advantage of that.

Simple question: “Why is it better for any person to have citizenship in one country, live in another and run a business in a third one?”

We are trying to find the right location and looking for a perfect basecamp, best jurisdiction and perfect playground.

We can breakdown it into three simple steps:

  1. Be a resident in a country where foreign income isn’t taxed
  2. Have your assets and companies in secure and stable havens
  3. Live as a tourist in a country for more independence

Those are the basics of Flag Theory and Self Sovereignty. But here is a catch:

Just one year ago to get a second citizenship or second residency was easier and more countries were able to offer it. Moreover it is a great hedge against a crisis. Game is different now. You need to have a solid Plan B if you want to utilize the Flag Theory.

World is changing fast and now different strategies are in place. You need to have a Plan B. It is not optional, it is essential.

How long does it take to get a Caribbean passport?

The timing of obtaining citizenship depends on the chosen program option. According to statistics, most people invest in real estate, so it is possible to get a passport in 3-6 months.

Kemal Nicholson, founder at Cinvest Migration share his thoughts:

“By investing in the state fund terms are 6-12 months. The cost also varies from the chosen program, thus, by investing in a state fund, citizenship and a passport can be obtained for $100,000 - $ 150,000, and investing in real estate an average of $ 220,000 per applicant.

For states, the honesty of candidates when submitting documents is important, and the ability to confirm the legality of the origin of finances.

Citizens and residents of a Caribbean country have the right to use all the services of a bank. Individuals and legal entities can open a bank account in the Caribbean. Accounts can be opened in person at a bank branch or remotely.”

Today, among the offshore Caribbean islands, the most commonly heard are: Saint Kitts and Nevis, Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada. These are mostly tax-free jurisdictions in which the requirement is the payment of an annual fee.

The main advantages of registering an organization in the Caribbean: you can register closed and joint-stock companies, partnerships and holdings; complete anonymity of company owners and directors; security (including information security) of all financial transactions; no need to pay major taxes;
