Referring to how companies are using design to attract and retain talent, Hans Reineke, Founding Partner at Hollandse Nieuwe, explained “The physical workspace is best suited for curating and experiencing the unique values and identity of an organization. This experience is crucial for current and future employees, so they can connect on all levels of the senses within an organization. This connection (and participation) will contribute to create a preference above others on the premises that it is both unique and outstanding in its appearance”.

Shedding an insight on how workspace design will transform in 2023, Natalie Hoffman, International Adviser at Facility Management Netherlands said “Looking at developments in the world, we see that shortage of labor will continue the next years. All organizations will think about how to attract and retain talent. Raising salaries, finding talent outside national borders, offering hybrid work forms, divesting real estate, but also creating a healthy working environment will lead to a search for creative solutions. Generation Alpha is expected to become the richest, most highly educated and most technologically savvy generation to grow up while the world is on fire”.

Arjan de Roos, Product Manager, Rabobank also contributed, saying “In line with our strategy, the hybrid way of working at Rabobank is not rule based but principle based. The principles that underpin our approach are working from a digital first perspective, plan time to meet colleagues and meet others. Autonomy and teamwork are equally important, allowing for a mix per team of working from home, in the Rabohouses or anywhere.”

Esha Bark-Jones, Show Director of Workspace Design Show for London and Amsterdam commented “I have seen first-hand how workspaces have already started to shift towards collaborative and flexible work environments. Post COVID designers are conscious of what they put in workspaces and how they will be effective for the individuals that use them daily. This shift will only continue onwards and upwards from 2023. Also, the landscape for workspace and commercial real estate design in Amsterdam is both creative and challenging. In this environment, it is essential to stay on top of new trends, technology, and regulations to create an optimal workspace.”

The list of topics to be discussed is growing by the day, and the team behind the event have made sure to bring in the best of the best so attendees have a unique and engaging event experience. The show will also feature several interactive features giving attendees the chance to experience the latest in sustainable design and how to design a workplace experience and culture to attract employees.

In addition to the conference, the show will also feature several top exhibitors from the Netherlands and across Europe, including Interstuhl, Vepa, Expormim, Kettal, Mute, Girsberger, Tarkett, OCS+, Rockwool, Occony and De Blick, who will transform the show floor into an array of feature spaces that allow visitors to interact, touch, feel and experience design.
