TravelTech Show, taking place virtually on 14-15 September 2021, has committed to supporting startups in the travel technology space by creating a £25,000 fund that startups can apply to access. The fund supports startups from across the globe founded with the last 48 months and have not raised more than £2M in funding with subsidised exhibiting options and additional marketing and PR support.

Startups already taking advantage of the fund include social booking plugin Gamitee based in Israel; Indian based Sublimis Technologies creators of end-to-end disruptive travel booking platform Brahmaand; and London-based eco startup and sustainability champions Trees4Travel.

Those participating are also entered into the first-ever TravelTech Show Trailblazer Awards. Trailblazers will be judged on their application and 2-minute pre-recorded innovation pitch, submitted before the show. The winners will be chosen by attendees for the People Choice Awards and a second winner by a group of esteemed industry experts.

Winner of the judges choice  will receive a free stand at TravelTech Show 2022 worth over £6,000 and a startup ticket to Phocuswright Conference 2021 worth over £1,400. The top 3 chosen will be invited to speak on the TravelTech Show Startup panel and post-event coverage on Phocuswire and from other global media.

Judges include John Ische, President, Tripst Solutions; Ross Veitch, CEO and Co-Founder, WEGO; Sascha Hausmann, Partner, HOWZAT Partners; Shyn Ye Ho, Director of Global Product Management, Expedia Group; and Tara Hawkins, Founder & Director, Authentic Villa Holidays.
