Capgemini to reinforce data-driven digital transformation capabilities with Syniti acquisition

Capgemini has announced an agreement to acquire Syniti, a provider of enterprise data management software and services, including platform and migration solutions with a global presence. This acquisition will strengthen Capgemini’s data-driven offerings, particularly in large-scale SAP transformations, such as migrations to SAP S/4HANA.

Based in the United States with a worldwide reach, Syniti has been at the forefront of digital transformation for over 15 years. The company’s team of more than 1,200 data specialists excels in managing complex data quality, migration, and governance projects for some of the largest corporations across industries like life sciences, aerospace and defense, manufacturing, consumer products, retail, and automotive. Syniti supports critical transitions, including mergers and acquisitions, ERP migrations, cloud adoption, and data compliance.

Syniti’s flagship offering, the Syniti Knowledge Platform, is a cloud-based data management solution designed to eliminate the traditional siloes in enterprise data management. It provides a collaborative environment for business stakeholders to drive successful and repeatable transformation initiatives. The platform, an SAP Endorsed App, has also been available as SAP Advanced Data Migration & Management by Syniti for nearly a decade.

As a trusted partner for major SAP data migrations, Capgemini's acquisition of Syniti is a significant advantage for organisations looking to build their SAP business applications on a reliable data foundation. This is particularly beneficial for clients implementing SAP S/4HANA, who have already seen substantial value in the platform for ongoing data transformation efforts.

“A strong data foundation is key to enable relevant, trusted and quality insights. It’s a top priority for clients as they look to unlock further value from their enterprise data thanks to generative AI,” comments Aiman Ezzat, Chief Executive Officer of the Capgemini Group. “Syniti and Capgemini share the philosophy that digital transformation will always require data transformation to drive critical business benefits. Syniti is a leader in its field and a trusted global partner for major SAP data migrations. Its global team will reinforce Capgemini’s data-driven digital core business transformation services.”

“Capgemini and Syniti have long recognised the importance of data, and that the complexity of data work requires technical, business and industry skills in order to deliver real business benefits,” said Kevin Campbell, CEO of Syniti. “Capgemini’s deep industry expertise and leadership in data & AI services highly complement Syniti’s data first approach in the market, to ensure that more organisations bring data to the forefront of their business and digital transformation projects. Both organisations have a deep commitment to innovation and client satisfaction, and our team is excited by the prospect of joining this global leader.”

The transaction is due to close in the coming months subject to regulatory approval and other customary conditions for a transaction of this nature.
