30 startups from 11 countries will compete to be the best Deep Tech and AI project at South Summit Korea

South Summit Korea, co-organised by IE University, the Government of Gyeonggi and GBSA (Gyenggido Business & Science Accelerator), has announced the 30 finalist startups of its Startup Competition. The finalist projects come from 10 different countries and will compete to be crowned the best startup in the fields of Deep Tech and Artificial Intelligence. The first edition of South Summit Korea will be held from September 25 to 27 in the Korean province of Gyeonggi.

The startups that have reached the final phase of the competition were chosen through a rigorous selection process from more than 420 applications submitted from 62 countries, reaffirming the international nature of the event. Countries with the most candidacies include South Korea, India, Spain, the United States, Israel, Singapore, Pakistan, Brazil, Indonesia, Nigeria, Turkey and the United Kingdom.

Of the 30 startups selected, South Korea is the most represented with 13 finalists, followed by India with four, Spain with three, and Germany, Israel and Singapore, with two finalists each. Additionally, the United Arab Emirates, Switzerland, Peru, and Portugal each contribute to one startup.

The three Spanish startups are ClassInTheBox, which creates digital content to improve user interaction; ExportManager.AI, a new AI tool that helps companies export products under the best sales conditions, and Aima Beyond, an AI companion for people living in loneliness and vulnerable situations. ClassInTheBox comes from the Community of Madrid, while Export Manager AI is from the Valencian Community and Aima Beyond from Barcelona.

The other 27 finalists are: AI Spera (South Korea), Aqarios (Germany), Autosys Industrial Solutions (India), dob Studio (South Korea), Dtonic Corporation (South Korea), Enline (Portugal), Konnect (South Korea), FAMPPY (South Korea), PCNC (SOUTH KOREA), FNS HOLDINGS (South Korea), FortyGuard Tech (United Arab Emirates), HeyCharge (Germany), Hyphen SCS (India), LabSD (South Korea),  Luxolis (South Korea), metapals (Singapore), Neureality (Israel), NORMA (South Korea), Optologics (South Korea), Rayo Lab (Singapore), RMG (South Korea), Rootalky (Switzerland), Spydra Technologies (India), Trucknetic (India), TUMI ROBOTICS (Peru), VISIONSPACE (South Korea) and VSL Labs (Israel).

Of these, 16 are already in development, five are scaleups and nine are prototypes.

A committee of leading investors and experts in DeepTech and Artificial Intelligence selected the finalists, considering aspects such as the level of innovation of the startups, their scalability, their growth potential, their ability to attract investment and the high capabilities of their workforces.

The finalist entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to present their projects to leaders and key players in AI and DeepTech, as well as to corporations and investment funds. Additionally, they will be able to connect with other startups and gain first-hand insights into the main trends in these industries.

This latest edition brought together more than 23,500 attendees from 55 different countries, including more than 3,000 startups and 900 investment funds, ready to support the best innovative ideas from around the world thanks to a portfolio of $213 billion. South Summit Brazil is already preparing its fourth edition, which will be between April 9 and 11, 2025.
