Jasvinder Gakhal

As Managing Director of Direct Line for Business, I lead a team of over 300 across multiple locations, my organisation covers marketing and digital, telephony operations, change management, proposition development and the commercial P&L. Our mission is to disrupt and shift the commercial insurance market by providing a compelling direct-to-customer proposition and experience. I am a creative, energetic and a passionate business and people leader, and most recently I was named on Green Park’s BAME 100 Board Talent Index, on Cranfield University’s ‘Top 100 Women to Watch’ list, and also featured on the Northern Power Women list of ‘Top 50 Women to Watch’. I am a champion of gender diversity and getting more women into leadership positions. I graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Mathematical Sciences and after university initially became a teacher, before joining Direct Line Group in 2005.
