Insurtech PeppercornAI has raised £3.25 million in its latest funding round. The funding, of which Wealth Club raised £1.9 million, included high net worth investors, existing investors EHE Capital, and Angels Invest Wales. The round was heavily oversubscribed despite reports from KPMG showing investment into UK fintech and insurtech was down 34% last year.
A poll by business consultancy, GAIN LINE, has revealed a major disconnect between organisational leaders, and their employees. When asked whether employees have an input into critical decisions that affect them, three-quarters of ‘owners’ and 90% of ‘directors’ said ‘yes’. However, when asked the same question, over half of ‘junior’ staff (56%) responded ‘no’, they do not feel they have an input into critical business decisions.
Finnish hyperspectral satellite and AI insights company Kuva Space has secured a €1.8 million contract to join the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Civil Security from Space (CSS) programme.
