WeWork Introduces 2023 Year in Review

In a revealing 2023 Year in Review, WeWork has shared intriguing insights into modern workplace habits, drawing from its extensive global community of over half a million members.

From freelancers to Fortune 500 companies, their daily interactions at WeWork's spaces are painting a vivid picture of current work trends and future possibilities.

In the heart of London, 10 York Road emerged as the most frequented WeWork location globally in 2023. Its popularity is attributed to its strategic position near Waterloo Station and the panoramic city views it offers. Following closely are 30 Churchill Place in Canary Wharf and 5 Merchant Square near Paddington, offering a blend of work and leisure environments.

Over in the United States and Canada, New York City's Midtown area dominated the scene. The most-booked buildings included 12 E 49th Street, renowned for its proximity to iconic landmarks; 500 7th Avenue, an art deco tower in the Garment District; and 1460 Broadway, centrally located in Times Square.

Collaboration was a key theme among WeWork members, with around 2.3 million meeting rooms booked worldwide in 2023. Interestingly, Tuesday was the preferred day for these gatherings. Additionally, members welcomed an impressive 1.4 million guests, equivalent to the population of San Diego or the combined populations of Iceland and Fiji.

Focusing on the top 5% of WeWork members, mostly from the U.S., South Korea, and the UK, these users frequented the workspaces 176 times on average and booked around 12 meeting rooms each. A South Korean member topped the list with 725 meeting room bookings, while the most travelled WeWork All Access user visited 43 buildings, with a preference for WeWork 37 Avenue Trudaine in Paris.

Coffee consumption among WeWork members was noteworthy, with over 10 million cups consumed in the US, UK, and Canada - enough to fill an Olympic-sized swimming pool. Beyond work, WeWork also played host to approximately 93,000 events, fostering community and professional networking.

As 2023 concludes, WeWork has expressed gratitude to its diverse community and looks forward to enhancing their experience in 2024, reinforcing its commitment to supporting varied work styles.
