Bixbio seeks to address the underrepresentation of African data in global genetic datasets. Africa is a large source of human genetic diversity which is largely unexplored. It believes that the future of widespread precision medicine relies on the development of genetic tools in Africa. Bixibo is focusing on building these tools to solve global genetic problems.

WeWALK is on a mission. It wants to enhance the visually impaired community’s safety, independence, and social inclusion through mobility tech. WeWALK can be attached to any long cane, acting as a new handle. It is designed to feel natural, therefore doesn’t disturb normal cane usage. The device vibrates when walking to inform the user of obstacles at the bottom of the cane. It can also be paired with the WeWALK app via Bluetooth to utilise smart features.
