Startups Magazine at The Business Show 2022 with Calmer
We spoke to Tania Diggory, Founder of Calmer, an award-winning training organisation empowering entrepreneurs and business teams to nurture good mental health, about who they are and what they do, as well as how they found the Business Show 2022.
“We are really passionate about helping professionals and business teams to prevent burnout and nurture good mental health and wellbeing,” said Diggory.
Calmer run free training courses, provide digital products, and host events.
Diggory recently wrote an article for our In the Studio section of the magazine. “[The article] kind of challenges a few myths and perceptions around mental health. There’s a whole section on that, and demystifying different common ideas about what mental health really means … There are some tips around self-care and stress management and understanding the difference as well between stress and burnout,” notes Diggory.
Diggory also notes that, especially for guys, it’s ok to talk about your feelings.
“It’s a common perception that men have to generally feel like they need to be tough … strength comes in many forms, right? It’s not just about physical strength, but actually emotional and mental,” said Diggory.
With regards to The Business Show, Diggory thought it was great! Calmer were based in the working from home life section, so their main focus was on supporting people with how to best work remotely in a healthy, happy and productive way.
