Osmos launches matchmaking platform to address professional loneliness
Osmos has launched an AI-powered platform that facilitates meaningful, one-on-one connections, specifically designed for professionals seeking deep and purposeful communication.
Targeting sectors such as FinTech, venture capital, SaaS, EdTech, and MarTech, Osmos serves as a bridge between founders, investors, senior executives, and engineers. In under a year of beta testing, the platform has attracted over 3,000 C-suite executives and fostered more than 20,000 cross-industry connections.
Unlike typical networking platforms that have drifted from their core purpose, Osmos focuses on quality interactions. Users connect through targeted requests, and each match is carefully reviewed with user feedback to ensure the connections are valuable. Osmos's AI engine analyses profiles, interests, and needs to offer personalised match suggestions, but connections are only initiated when both parties agree, ensuring thoughtful and committed interactions. This eliminates the superficiality common in many platforms, avoiding the noise of social selling and recruitment.
Osmos redefines networking by creating a space for real-time, meaningful conversations. It champions a culture of collaboration, centred around the "How can I help?" ethos, encouraging genuine idea sharing.
The platform is co-founded by Natalia Cebotari, a serial entrepreneur and former Chief Strategy Officer at Yandex, and Mike Fridman, Osmos’s CTO, who brings expertise in AI and machine learning from his work with Disney and Formula E.
"Osmos addresses a personal challenge I faced. Despite having over 9,000 personal contacts, I often struggled to find the right people when needed. I firmly believe that a good social network is about helping each other, not just about talking, selling, or self-promoting. Targeting a $163.6B social networking market, we fight shallow connections and small talk that leave you feeling lonelier than ever by creating a network of people who truly care”, says Natalia Cebotari, CEO & Co-Founder of Osmos.
Large networking platforms are shifting towards creator and video content to boost user retention, yet only 25% of LinkedIn users report that it has helped them develop new business partnerships. Targeting the global social networking market, valued at $81.42 billion and encompassing $4.9 billion users worldwide, Osmos aims to enhance professional connections.
