Free AI event for small businesses

Small business proprietors from across London are being presented with a chance to enhance their AI expertise and widen their network at a 'netwalking' event, organised by Small Business Britain and BT.

Scheduled for Wednesday, 31st January in Regents Park, the 'Netwalk' aims to bring together entrepreneurs from the capital for a one-hour walk through Regent’s Park. During this stroll, business owners will gain valuable insights from top AI specialists.

This event is designed to offer entrepreneurs a break from their regular work setting, allowing them to connect with other local enterprises. Netwalks provide an informal platform for networking, exchanging ideas and experiences, and forging business relationships.

Participants will have the opportunity to arrange one-to-one sessions with experts such as Cheryl Laidlaw, known as 'the London web girl', and Silvia Del Corso, Founder of Pink.SEO Marketing. These experts will offer advice on integrating AI into small businesses and its long-term advantages.

“We have recently seen an incredible rise in AI, and small businesses stand to benefit immensely from it with the right information and guidance,” said Michelle Ovens CBE, Founder of Small Business Britain.

“We are extremely excited to run this event with the support of BT and bring entrepreneurs from all around London and the South East together with AI experts who can offer essential insights into how to adopt new technology and stay ahead of the curve.”

This event is part of a trio of 'big Netwalk events' being held across the nation by Small Business Britain and BT, with upcoming visits to Nottingham in February and Leeds in March.

Chris Sims, Managing Director Small and Medium Business at BT, said: “Netwalks are a fantastic initiative that give small businesses the opportunity to meet with like-minded entrepreneurs. By focusing this edition on AI, we are looking to cut through the noise and educate small business owners on the opportunities it provides, and the real value it can bring to their enterprise.”

The event is scheduled for 10:30 on 31st January and will conclude with refreshments at a Soho café. Small businesses interested in participating can register at https://smallbusinessbritain.uk/netwalks.
