Rob Coke
BIO
Rob is Co-Founder & Client Director at Studio Output, with a deep understanding of brands built up across twenty years using design to enable them to grow. He set up Output with Dan Moore and Ian Hambleton in 2002. Their culture of supporting and challenging each other in equal measures drove Output’s creative approach as the business grew. Sixteen years on, the studio is more focused than ever, helping organisations as diverse as Auto Trader, the BBC, Pottermore and Powerleague to adapt and thrive in a connected world.
As the lead on brand thinking, Rob’s work spans strategy and creative direction. From vision-building to brand architecture, he combines the problem-solving methodology of a designer with an empathic understanding of audience. In doing so he’s led brand overhauls for the Government’s Innovate UK and Sony PlayStation, and recently helped BBC Sport grow from a beloved broadcaster to a coherent and relevant cross-platform brand. In overseeing our copywriting output, he guides the work which gives modern organisations a voice.
Rob writes about design and branding in the press, and has spoken at events as far afield as Dublin, New York and Beijing.
