BIO

Alice Bentinck MBE is co-founder of Entrepreneur First, which she started with Matt Clifford in 2011. Entrepreneur First is the world's leading talent investor - they invest time and money in extraordinary individuals to found technology companies. To date, over 1,200 people have been through the programme, creating 200+ companies with a combined valuation of over $1.5bn. Over the past 18 months Alice has overseen the company's rapid growth; it now runs programmes in six locations – London, Berlin, Singapore, Paris, Bangalore and Toronto – and earlier this year announced a $115m close of a new global fund, which should allow them to invest in over 2,000 more individuals in the next three years.

Alice also set up Code First: Girls, a not-for-profit which aims to teach 20,000 women to code for free by the end of 2020. The organisation surpassed 10,000 women being taught earlier this year.

Prior to starting Entrepreneur First, Alice started her career at McKinsey & Co, where she met her now co-founder Matt. She was awarded an MBE for services to business in the 2016 Queen's Birthday Honours.
