Founded in 2018, Voi is a Swedish micromobility company that offers e-scooter and e-bike sharing in partnership with towns, cities and local communities. Its goal is to ensure that the micromobility transformation happens the right way - through real innovative technology, open and transparent dialogue with towns, cities and governments and by adapting our products to local needs.

The startup currently operates in over 100 towns and cities across 12 countries. It is headquartered in Stockholm and employs 1,000 people. To date, Voi boasts more than seven million riders and has served more than 150+ million rides.

The Voiager 7

Voi’s latest addition to its scooter family combines its technology with ergonomic principles and progressive design to deliver an even safer and smoother riding experience.

The company operates in over 100 cities across Europe, so navigating the urban landscapes can become challenging as each city has its own set of regulations, like parking rules and speed limits. However, the new Voiager 7 addresses this issue with its new dual-display dashboard which offers riders instant access to crucial real-time information, including battery level, current speed, and indicator status.

This dashboard offers a clear and comprehensive view through a mix of straightforward text and easy-to-understand icons. It proves particularly beneficial in areas governed by specific rules, such as slow-speed zones or no-parking areas. In such situations, the Voiager 7 automatically adjusts its speed to adhere to local laws, thereby improving safety for both riders and pedestrians.

The Voiager 7 is equipped with a 12-inch front tyre, a size increase from its predecessors, designed with enhanced shock absorption capabilities ideal for navigating through busy city streets. This latest iteration of the Voi scooter features a broader footboard, coated with a high-grade, non-slip silicone material. The expansive footboard accommodates riders of various sizes, enabling them to adopt their optimal riding position, thereby ensuring utmost stability and control during their ride. The new Voiager has a larger battery capacity, with a range of up to 110 kilometres on a single charge, enabling riders to confidently embark on long journeys.

Other new features of the scooter include:

• A robust and sleek design with interactive elements in a distinct colour, making it more intuitive for riders how to use functions such as indicators, bell, phone holder, accelerator, and brakes.
• Integrated indicators, visible from all angles, allow riders to signal manoeuvres. What’s new is the display of indicator status on the dashboard, accompanied by an audible turn signal for both an announcement and a reminder to turn it off, for the improved safety of all road users.
• New dual kickstand equipped with widened, reinforced feet provides an increased ground contact patch and prevents slipping, so that the scooter remains upright when not in use, even on uneven or slippery surfaces.
• New, smarter IoT allows for increased data storage on the device, and faster data processing. In addition, its improved location accuracy makes the Voiager 7 significantly easier to park, and increases ease of navigation.
• The scooter also has an extended lifespan, with an expected average lifespan of eight years.
• 35% of the materials used to produce Voiager 7 have been recycled, that’s 30% more recycled material than used for its predecessor.
• Thanks to its slightly higher weight (36 kg), the Voiager 7 is more robust and stable than its predecessors.

The Voiager 7 is being deployed in select cities in Germany, Italy, and Norway in Spring 2024.
