InnoVEX 2024 Attracts 400 Startups from Over 30 Countries & Regions

InnoVEX 2024 is being held from June 4th to 7th 2024 in Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center (TaiNEX) Hall 2. One of the organisers of the event, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) stated that InnoVEX 2024 will focus on AI, Green Tech, Semiconductor Applications, and Smart Mobility; reflecting the current ongoing trends in the tech industry.

Positioned as the startup hub of Asia, InnoVEX will feature a total of 400 startups from 30 countries and regions. The startups will join both as individual exhibitors, or in one of the pavilions which gathers startups from certain countries/regions, industries, programmes, etc.

Among the main pavilions are:

Startup Innovation Pavilion

Organised by the Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration (SMESA), the Startup Innovation focuses on green tech, AI, and other innovative technologies. SMESA invited domestic and international startups to showcase cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions to promote sustainability and the development of green economy. The pavilion features startups from Taiwan, Germany, Thailand, Chile, Poland, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Colombia, Czech Republic, and more.

TREE Pavilion

The Taiwan Research Institute Entrepreneur Ecosystem program (TREE Program) is an initiative launched by the Department of Industrial Technology (DoIT) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MoEA). The programme supports the transformation of research outcomes from these institutes into successful ventures. Organised under the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), the TREE Program Pavilion in InnoVEX 2024 will feature startups focusing on various industries including AI, sustainability, IoT, Biotech, and more.

The participating startups in the TREE Pavilion will focus on: AI, Green Tech, Smart Mobility, Healthcare & Biotech, 5G & Communication, IoT

TTA Pavilion

Taiwan Tech Arena (TTA) is Taiwan’s flagship startup ecosystem building programme launched by National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) in 2018. Their vision is to build a vibrant international startup ecosystem in Taiwan. They foster entrepreneurship and innovation and aims to become the foundation of global tech ventures, the cultural fusing hub of startups, and the voice of Taiwan's tech startups.

Taiwan's strong R&D background and deep talent pool mean this is the perfect place to nurture technology startups. To date, TTA has hosted more than 500 startups, collaborated with around 200 corporates, and raised over 37M US$.

The participating startups will focus on: AI, Semiconductor Applications, Smart Mobility.

Garage+ Pavilion

Garage+ is a non-profit incubator, which supports altruism-driven technology startups to better the world. It was supported by more than 30 global supply chain corporations, such as TSMC, Delta Electronics, and Quanta Computer.

The participating startups will focus on: AI, Semi-Conductor Applications, Smart Mobility, Healthcare & Biotech, Manufacturing Technology.

In total, 23 pavilions will be present during InnoVEX 2024. The pavilions are organised by international trade offices, startup accelerators, government agencies, and more.

InnoVEX 2024 Forum will Discuss Emerging Technology Applications as AI Takes the Spotlight

InnoVEX Forums always highlights the emerging technology trends. With the rapid growth of AI from early 2024, AI as a technology and AI applications will be the focus of many InnoVEX Forum sessions. TCA stated that in total there will be over 8 forums which will discuss AI as a technology, AI applications, and AI supporting technologies. Other growing technologies and trends such as EV, ESG, Sustainability, and more.

The highlights of the InnoVEX Forum include:

  • Exploring the Future of AI Forum on June 5, 15:30 – 17:30 which brings together experts from leading global corporations, accelerators, and startup ecosystems. The forum will focus on GenAI, co-packaged optics, personalised GPT, and business opportunities in the post-SaaS era.
  • Toward the EV Era Forumon June 6, 13:30 – 16:30 will explore the evolution of EVs in several facets including the ongoing developments in the EV ecosystem and discussions on the future opportunities and challenges of the industry.
  • Leveraging AI to Accelerate Sustainable Future Opportunities on June 7, 10:00 – 12:00 will bring together leading industry speakers to explore how AI can empower sustainable development and share real-world business cases and secrets.

InnoVEX 2024 Events will Celebrate Innovation and Promote Sustainability

In addition to the exhibition and forums, InnoVEX will also host various events to promote the participating startups and their innovations. One of the mainstays of InnoVEX, the Pitch Contest will return with prises valued at a total of $100,000 in both cash and professional/ promotional resources. The 15 finalists will be announced between May 27 to 31. They will be able to join an exclusive one-on-one matchmaking session on June 7, 10:00 – 12:00. Visitors interested in networking with the finalists are welcome to sign up and invite them to a matchmaking session with the InnoVEX matchmaking system. The Pitch Contest Finals will be held at the InnoVEX Pi Stage on June 6, 13:00 – 15:30 with the Award Ceremony to be held on the same day at 16:00 – 17:00.

The InnoVEX Night Party will be held in POPOP Taipei on June 5, 17:30 – 21:00. The Night Party is the best opportunity for exhibitors to connect directly with VCs, CVCs, and more. As companies and governments aim to achieve Net Zero by 2050, InnoVEX 2024 will cooperate with FamilyMart’s Let’s Café to promote sustainability and ESG trends. Under the “Dream Big, Go Green” slogan, InnoVEX will move towards a paperless entry badge and encourage the use of environmentally friendly materials for booth decorations, as well as tableware and water bottles during the event.

InnoVEX exhibitors will also be assessed for their RE100 or ISO 14064 compliance and other relevant standards. Exhibitors verified to have passed the standards will be able to display the ESG GO sign on their booths during InnoVEX 2024. Visitors can join the sustainable technology trends and explore business opportunities in the ESG trends during InnoVEX.
