Global Work raises $1.25M to combat unemployment with AI
Global Work, a startup dedicated to reshaping the future of work, has raised $1.25 million in pre-seed funding to enhance its AI-powered platform, which provides personalised support and automation for every specialist looking for a new job.
Amid waves of corporate layoffs triggered by the rise of AI agents and the advancement of development copilots, Global Work adheres to the mission of leveraging AI to help displaced specialists and gig workers find meaningful employment opportunities.
The round was led by TMT Investments, joined by Pre-Seed To Succeed, an investment program for early-stage startups with European roots, backed by AltaIR Capital, Yellow Rocks, Smart Partnership Capital, and I2BF Global Ventures.
“The mission of Global Work is to make the job search process less of a burden for those who are open to exploring global opportunities from the comfort of their home,” said Co-Founder and CEO, Alex Chepovoi. “With the support from TMT Investments and Pre-Seed to Succeed, who believed in our mission, we want to cheer up those counting days before AI dominance in the labour market, that AI is there to help find their dream job, not take it from them.”
Global Work was founded in 2023 by Alex Chepovoi and Alex Dyadischev as a job-search platform for remote workers. The project provides access to over 400,000 new verified vacancies a month, as well as AI-personalised assistance, integrated into every stage of the applicant’s journey.
Every job listing on Global Work undergoes AI processing, ensuring candidates receive the most relevant opportunities. The platform also provides the CV Builder, which analyses and enhances users’ resumes, and the AI Cover Letter tool, which crafts tailored cover letters that align with specific job requirements. With AutoApply, candidates can apply to multiple positions with a single click – AI takes care of the rest, ensuring applications are properly formatted and submitted. Applicants then only monitor their inboxes for recruiter responses.
“Global Work has caught our eye because they're not just growing fast; they're strategically exploring a massive market opportunity with the help of AI. We value their commitment to scalability, as it's a critical trait for success in today's dynamic environment”, highlighted Artyom Iniutin, Managing Partner at TMT Investments.
In the near future, Global Work plans to expand its AI capabilities with new features, including a career guidance test to help candidates identify the best career path and interview preparation tools that offer personalised coaching.
“In Pre-Seed to Succeed we believe in innovations that make a real impact, not just exciting concepts. Global Work is revolutionising the job search market here and now, and this is extremely valuable within the buzzing startup industry,” said Sergei Bogdanov, Managing Partner at Yellow Rocks.
