The future of WorldCoin, Sam Altman's project, discussed in Barcelona

Tech Barcelona, one of the largest non-profit tech associations in Europe, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

To commemorate this notable milestone, the organisation will host its annual Tech Spirit Barcelona conference,  introducing a series of special events that will make it a landmark event for the entire Spanish tech community.

Over 140+ speakers have already been announced for this year’s edition, including Ricardo Macieira, from Tools For Humanity (Sam Altman’s WorldCoin partner company). Macieira will delve into discussion on the blueprint for constructing the globe's most extensive digital identity and financial network. Attendees can expect an insightful session about the intricacies of a cutting-edge initiative and the future of the global economy.

The conference will feature three stages, where over 60 engaging and insightful sessions with experts from promising startups and successful scaleups, local, and international investors, alongside specialists from tech giants like TravelPerk, Linkedin, IBM, and Twitch. They will explore crucial topics like deep technology, quantum computing, open innovation, and the impact of generative artificial intelligence. This event aims to further bolster Barcelona's already established reputation as a significant tech hub in Europe.

Barcelona is one of the most vibrant European tech ecosystems. Its 409 mature scaleups have attracted $8.7 billion in funding, representing 42% of Spain's overall scaleup scene. Tech Barcelona works with global companies such as Nestle, HP, Airbnb, IBM Cloud, PepsiCo, and Unilever. Tech Barcelona is a private and independent organisation that receives the support of the Catalan Government and City's municipality.

Tech Spirit Barcelona will be held in the historical building Llotja de Mar on December 12 and 13, 2023.
