EAI announces 5th International Conference on Technology, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Education
Building on the success of last year's event, EAI has unveiled plans for the 5th International Conference on Technology, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Education (TIE2024).
Set against the backdrop of the Olympic Games, Euro 2024, and other significant sporting events, TIE2024 will spotlight cutting-edge technologies tailored for the broadcasting, networking, collaboration, and content dissemination of these global spectacles. Beyond showcasing the latest technological advancements, TIE2024 aims to explore their applications across broader knowledge domains such as education and medtech, while also uncovering promising opportunities for emerging businesses and startups.
Jeremy Foss, General Chair of TIE said: “Last year’s conference was a big success and saw the likes of Alex Chung (Founder of GIPHY) and Dr. Phil O’Donovan (one of the “Cambridge Angels”, and a founder of the CSR company that became the Bluetooth chip market leader) speaking at our venue at Magdalene College, Cambridge University. This year we want to make sure we provide a line-up that is just as strong, and we will be releasing the list of keynote speakers in due course."
'TIE2024, the International Conference on Technology, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Education' is an opportunity for researchers and emerging entrepreneurs to share their expertise, to embrace new ideas, and to educate the marketplace. This is why we are looking for researchers to contribute to the programme by submitting a one-page abstract to introduce their intended paper, technical brief (white paper), demo or workshop. Topics within the conference’s range of interest include:
- Content creation for film, broadcast, education, training
- From the camera lens to the consumer screen
- Including Outside Broadcast (OB), Sports, live events
- New applications for immersive experiences and gamification
- Content networking, collaboration, dissemination
- eSports/eHealth/eFitness/eCare
- Technologies, applications, devices and use cases across these use areas, for example:
- AI
- VR/AR/MR
- Fixed and radio transmission (5G, 6G, etc)
Importantly, and in addition to the technical aspects, we also seek presentations on the societal, commercial and educational aspects of these technologies and their applications.
Foss continued: “We want to hear from the best. That is why our scope is focussed not just on the technologies, but also on the enterprise and commercialisation aspects, and educational and training opportunities. We will also consider the applications, devices and use cases associated with all these subject areas.
“This conference is an essential platform for exchanging knowledge and experience between researchers from across the technology sector. Therefore, in addition to lectures, demonstrations and discussion panels, we have also planned space for integration and delegate networking, an essential distinguishing feature of our conference,” concluded Foss.
The 5th International Conference on Technology, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Education will take place at the University of Warwick, United Kingdom, on October 9-10th 2024.
