Closing the loop: how Greenzy is revolutionising indoor composting
After several years of development, we've reached a decisive milestone: our first indoor composters have left the factory and have been delivered since January. This launch marks the start of a new era for Greenzy, with 50 composters currently in production and 200 more units in the pipeline.
This project, spearheaded by two female civil engineers, demonstrates that technological innovation and environmental commitment can go hand in hand. On the occasion of International Woman’s Day, we are proud to highlight this entrepreneurial success story and encourage more women to get involved in industry and sustainable innovation.
A smart solution for indoor composting
Composting is often perceived as a complicated or messy process, but with Greenzy, we've eliminated these constraints. Our European and UK patented technology ensures that organic waste turns into nutrient-rich compost, with no odors, no pests and no extra effort. What's more, there's no need to be an expert thanks to the app, which guides you step by step by following the indications of the sensors in the composter.
Designed for households and shared kitchen areas within companies, the Greenzy composter closes the loop on organic waste, even without a garden.
From idea to innovation
The Greenzy story began with a simple question: how can we encourage composting without the usual drawbacks? Passionate about sustainability, we spent several years developing and refining our solution. The result: an easy-to-use, low-maintenance device that takes care of the entire composting process with minimal intervention. It's not just a product, it's a step towards a zero-waste lifestyle.
A concrete impact on the circular economy
Greenzy is an integral part of the circular economy, giving a second life to organic waste right on the spot. By transforming biowaste into compost, we actively participate in reducing the transportation and incineration of biowaste, and encourage the local reuse of resources. This approach not only reduces the environmental footprint of our waste, but also naturally recovers organic matter, thus completing the material cycle.
