BaseKit strengthens small business tech for good agenda with B Corp

Bristol based, global small business software development company BaseKit has announced today its certification as a B Corporation (or B Corp), joining thousands of companies reinventing business by pursuing purpose as well as profit. 

BaseKit has been certified by B Lab, the not-for-profit behind the B Corp movement, as having met rigorous social and environmental standards which represent its commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit.

The road to B Corp began with The Green Team - a small group of people at BaseKit passionate about the planet who got together once a month to talk about how we could make our company do better when it comes to people and the environment. Fast track 18 months later, BaseKit is so proud to now be part of a community of 6,810 businesses globally who meet the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility in the world.

The B Corp community in the UK, representing a broad cross section of industries and sizes, comprises over 1,400 companies and include well-known brands such as The Guardian, innocent, Patagonia, The Body Shop and organic food pioneers Abel & Cole.
