Creative risk-taker, Paul Mellor, was born in Doncaster in the North of England, but having a father in the RAF meant he attended no fewer than nine schools in total, including seven years at boarding school, where he was regularly kicked out of class. Perhaps it was a need to be heard that led him to be the risk-taking creative he now is. Paul co-founded Mellor&Smith in 2009 to ‘take fucking risks’ that get brands noticed.
Mellor&Smith is London’s ‘creative risk-taking’ brand and advertising agency. Based in Borough, SE London, the agency was founded in 2009 by creatives, Paul Mellor (Managing Director) and James Smith (Creative Director) with the sole aim of working with people who understand the power of risks. A decade later, it has become one of the city’s most acclaimed creative agencies, having stayed true to its primary goals of generating strong ideas and doing things differently, constantly challenging others to follow suit. Mellor&Smith’s TFR Events (Take Fucking Risks) were developed in 2017 under the curation of Cookie Tabinor (Creative and Event Organiser) and are now one of London’s most successful series of events, attracting legendary industry speakers and audiences of over 450 people.
