Jason is a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney and Trade Mark Director at HGF Limited. He specialises in helping businesses protect, enforce and commercialise their brands through providing strategic trade mark advice and bespoke solutions that align with commercial objectives and budgets.

Jason acts for businesses ranging from start-ups to well-known multinationals across a variety of different commercial sectors and jurisdictions. He advises on domestic and international brand clearance and filing strategies, non-traditional trade marks, trade mark prosecution, trade mark oppositions and cancellation actions, trade mark agreements, portfolio management and trade mark enforcement matters, amongst other things. His colleagues specialise in other forms of intellectual property such as patents, copyright and designs.

Jason was recognised as a ‘Rising Star” in the Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) IP Stars 2022 and 2023, and as a recommended practioner in the 2021-2024 editions of The Legal 500 and World Trademark Review 1000 (WTR1000). He regularly produces articles that appear in third party publications and has appeared live on BBC Radio Scotland and GB News to talk about matters relating to trade marks. Prior to entering the profession in 2013, Jason obtained a BA in English and American Literature, followed by a LLB in Law. He obtained a PG Certificate in Trade Mark Law and Practice, and a Professional Certificate in Trade Mark Practice to quality as a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney in 2016.
