James Dale
BIO
James Dale is the CEO and Founder of SINE Digital, an agency that combines data science, audience insights and technology to deliver exceptional performance marketing.
James started as a singer-songwriter for Goldheart Assembly, an indie band beloved by Steve Lamacq, whose successes included thousands of album copies sold, key performances at Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds, and a recording session with Radio One at Maida Vale Studios in 2009.
Despite this initial success, the band found themselves without a record label and live promoter as they were left behind in the huge digital shifts caused by the collapse of platforms like MySpace and the rise of platforms like Spotify leaving the band with no way to connect with the audiences they had grown.
Inspired to help artists build sustainable careers through creating and owning their data and digital audiences, James founded SINE Digital in 2017. In just seven years, SINE has grown to employ an international team of over 80 people working as a trusted partner to global brands across live entertainment, sport, fashion, and the automotive industry. Their clients include major entertainment brands, Broadway shows, Tottenham Hotspur, Yamaha and the Royal Ballet and Opera (previously the Royal Opera House). The agency remains dedicated to tech development and emerging data science, including the evolution of creative insights and media mix modelling. In 2024 SINE is expanding its US presence, to capitalise on growing interest from Broadway and the U.S. live entertainment and sports industries.
Outside of work, James is a keen Everton supporter and makes time for his love of music as much as possible.
