Steve Pomfret founded the award-winning Cygnetise in 2016 after identifying the considerable risks and inefficiencies that traditional manual and paper-based signatory registers posed to financial institutions and other companies. Previously, he worked in operational change within large banks and brokers around the world. Acting as an internal consultant, Steve would troubleshoot to improve efficiency and minimise risk in areas including emerging markets, investment banking, custody, fund administration, wealth management, trade finance and corporate banking.

Can we improve SEIS and EIS to create more growth?

Growth is what we are all aiming for. In fact, it is the number one mission of the UK government. For founders and startups, the great success stories of the Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) and the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) being preserved in the UK Budget was welcome news. As was the extension of the sunset clause of the EIS and Venture Capital Trust (VCT) schemes to April 2035 in the Autumn Statement.
