Rainer Straeter

Rainer Straeter is Senior Vice President Technology Office at IONOS. In this role, he heads the international IaaS division. In 2015, he was responsible for the successful launch of IONOS' Next Generation Cloud Platform in Europe and the USA. Rainer has more than 20 years of experience in the hosting industry with a focus on the development of IT infrastructure solutions. He studied electrical engineering at the University of Dortmund and at the Grand École ISEN in Lille. He started his career in software development for VoIP stacks and represented his company in standardization bodies such as ETSI.org. Before joining IONOS in 2012, Rainer Sträter was responsible for various projects at Web.de, Telefonica O2 and Deutsche Bahn.
