Michael Stausholm is the founder and CEO of SproutWorld, the company behind the world’s only patented plantable pencils. He was working in sustainability in the textile industry when he came across the idea of the pencil online, created as part of an MIT college project on office items for the future. Seeing the potential, he bought the rights and patented and developed the product for worldwide sale. The pencils, which are sold to consumers in ranges such as Thankyou, Feel the Love, Kitchen and Bee packs, are also sold to businesses who brand them for their own use.
