I help accountancy practices, professional firms and trade associations offer the R&D tax credits service to their clients and members. Having trained in accountancy and qualified in marketing, I worked in financial services and at the London Stock Exchange before launching a graphic design, print and marketing services company in 1990. I grew this successfully through some challenging times, sold the company in 2016, but continued as Managing Director until 2021. I now bring my business experience to the world of R&D tax credits. My objective is to enable professional firms help as many of their clients as possible to claim the R&D tax credits they’re entitled to. I enjoy tennis, golf, sailing and cycling. In 2016 I cycled in Northern Cambodia to raise awareness and funds for an education charity I sponsored that builds schools and provides teaching in remote villages.

What is the R&D tax credits scheme?

R&D is a valuable relief the UK government offers in order to incentivise businesses to innovate and enhance productivity. The scheme is widely underutilised and over the course of several budgets the Chancellor of the Exchequer has sought to widen the scope for claiming this relief.  The most recent changes he made will be implemented from April 2023.
