James Paul

James Paul began his career in telecoms, gaining first-hand experience of how mobile networks are built and managed. He later worked across consulting and entrepreneurship, building several businesses before co-founding Voop to tackle one of the toughest challenges facing parents and carers: keeping young people safe online without isolating them. James and his co-founder Nick have built Voop from concept to live pilots with local authorities and national foster-care groups. In 2026, Voop will launch its consumer product to help parents and schools navigate smartphone safety and enable children to build digital resilience online.
