Dr Stuart English

A specialist in design thinking and design driven innovation, Dr Stuart English is Associate Professor in Design and the lead academic on Northumbria University’s Design Management MA. His research has initiated new methods, new products and new IP through an inclusive approach based on design led enterprise. Dr English started his career in design in the 1980s, training as an industrial designer before going on to practise with Design4 Plastics, SilentNight Holdings and Joyce Loebl. He then joined Marchant Filer Dixon, working as a consultant industrial designer, before co-founding his own consultancy – Glenelg Product Design in 1990.
