Dinesh Dhamija

Dinesh Dhamija is Vice Chair of the TiE Global Board. An entrepreneur, politician, and investor, Dinesh is one of the UK’s leading international businessmen and a former Entrepreneur of the Year. Dinesh is recognised internationally for his innovation and leadership skills, particularly for his strategic insight and practical approach to key contemporary issues ranging from British entrepreneurship, the online economy and sustainability.  He founded ebookers.com, the first internet travel company in the UK and Europe, was a Member of the European Parliament in Brussels and has donated millions to charity. During his time in the European Parliament, Dinesh fought for liberal values and was influenced by various people on the benefits of green energy.  Dinesh is a donor and trustee of several charities including TiE, encouraging, and supporting entrepreneurship. He is also the Vice Chair of the global board of TiE based in Silicon Valley and runs the TiE sustainability and Mobility Special Interest Group.  Dinesh’s lifelong experience is a testament to resilience and self-reliance. His success shows that although challenges will always arise, it is imperative to persevere and be ready to grab opportunities when they present themselves.
