Craig James

Prior to making real estate technology his focus, Craig James spent 22 years on Wall Street in equity derivative trading, and 8 years abroad in Hong Kong where he last served as the CIO and Founder of Expedition Advisors Ltd, a long-biased volatility hedge fund. It was during his time in Asia that Craig spent over 5 years in corporate serviced apartments and actually "lived the problem" that he set out to solve.  Namely - a better mousetrap for corporate extended stay travel. Craig started his career at Susquehanna Investment Group, where he was a derivative market maker on the Chicago Board of Options Exchange.    Craig was the head of equity derivatives trading at Deutsche Bank Group in Hong Kong, and worked in both sell-side and buy-side positions in New York, including as a portfolio manager at SAC Capital.   Mr. James received his MBA in Finance from the University of Texas-Austin and his BA in Liberal Arts and Economics from Wheaton College. Craig is an avid fisherman, a struggling piano player, and refuses to play pickleball no matter how popular it becomes.
