Swiss healthtech company Aeon has closed a €8.2 million seed round, as it builds the world’s most advanced platform for early detection and preventive healthcare. The round was led by London-based VC Concentric, with participation from Calm/Storm Ventures, GoHub Ventures, Kadmos Capital, EWOR, and Swiss super angel investor Daniel Gutenberg, known for backing 12 unicorns, including AirBnB, Facebook, and SumUp.
deepdots, the end-to-end AI platform for streamlining customer feedback analysis, has raised a €5.5 million seed funding round led by Dawn Capital, one of Europe’s specialist B2B software investor, with participation from Maki.vc and angel investors including Geeta Schmidt (former CEO and Co-Founder of Humio).
Alba Health, a Swedish and Danish gut health startup, has raised a $2.5 million seed funding round to advance its innovative approach to digital gut health support for children. The round was led by Unconventional Ventures, with participation from Exceptional Ventures, as well as continued investment from Voima Ventures, Noaber, Bust, and Petteri Lahtela (co-founder of Oura).
adeus, a digital-first wills and legacy planning platform developed by Mankind Technologies Ltd, has been awarded a £500,000 Smart Grant from Innovate UK, the UK government’s innovation agency. The funding will accelerate the development of proprietary technology to support the introduction of electronic wills in England and Wales.
Despite a complex global landscape, angel investors are planning to invest more in startups in 2025 than last year, with cautious optimism the prevailing mood. This is the key finding from the latest global survey of investors from Angel Investment Network (AIN), the global online angel investment network.
trawa, a Berlin-based electricity provider and AI-powered software company, has secured €24 million in Series A funding. The round was led by venture capital firm Headline, with participation from Norrsken VC, the impact fund of Klarna co-founder Niklas Adalberth, and existing investors Balderton Capital, Speedinvest, and AENU. Berlin-based VC Magnetic and Tiny VC from London are also among trawa’s shareholders.
