ULTRA.VC announces a new batch for early-stage impact startups

ULTRA.VC, an EU-based accelerator and early-stage investor, announces a new acceleration batch for startups focused on social and cultural impact.

Startups accepted into the programme will receive an initial investment of $70,000 from ULTRA.VC, with the opportunity to receive up to $300,000 in follow-on investment in the next round upon successfully completing the three-month acceleration programme.

The European investment climate is getting warmer for impact startups, with the region emerging as a global leader in impact investing in 2023. However, despite the positive trend, impact organisations around the EU have published The Impact Manifesto, which highlights that the urgency to act against climate change and rising inequalities has never been more acute. The Manifesto calls on investors to seize their opportunities to support mission-oriented initiatives.

ULTRA.VC invests in early-stage startups that leverage advanced technologies to foster tangible positive change in the following sectors: Personal & Mental Well-being, Education and Lifelong Learning, Future of Work, New Governance, FinTech with Impact, and Ethical Use of AI.

The accelerator team and invited industry experts provide founders with comprehensive mentorship and weekly focused tracking, helping them test hypotheses quickly, identify effective sales channels, and retain users. One of the core values of ULTRA.VC acceleration program is to optimise growth channels and accelerate the hypothesis-testing process. Additionally, the programme offers a professional coaching track, with the experts working with the founders’ mindsets and motivations. It also provides a community where founders can find mutual support and share experiences.

"Building a mission-driven product is often a personal challenge for founders, which tests the strength of their values as individuals and resilience as entrepreneurs. It won’t be an easy journey, but we’ve tried our best to make it more comfortable and decrease the mental load," said Eugene Valuev, Founding Partner of ULTRA.VC.

ULTRA.VC invites European impact startups to apply to the new batch from June 10 till August 11.
