thymia partners with SupportRoom to offer “one-stop-shop” for employee mental health
Thymia, a UK-based mental health tech startup, has partnered with SupportRoom. This partnership aims to offer comprehensive mental health monitoring and targeted wellbeing support to all employees within an organisation.
Currently, work-related stress and burnout are costing employers £28 billion annually. This new alliance, merging Thymia's AI-driven mental health monitoring with SupportRoom's extensive mental health support hub, will enable employers to efficiently track, measure, and address their workforce's specific mental health requirements.
Developed by neuroscientists, the Thymia platform utilises AI, allowing employers and staff to gain a deeper understanding and vigilant monitoring of their mental health. Thymia's "Mental Wellness Check" tool, known as "Thymia Helios," evaluates brief voice recordings of employees to provide a detailed mental wellness score, including assessments for crucial wellbeing aspects such as burnout, tiredness, stress, and confidence.
This technology is engineered to facilitate earlier intervention in mental health issues, helping employees to monitor their wellbeing and seek prompt support when necessary. Research indicates that early intervention can significantly enhance mental health outcomes.
With this partnership, employees using SupportRoom can now access Thymia Helios for regular mental health check-ins. This will also offer employers a broader perspective on their organisation's overall mental wellbeing.
Employers implementing Thymia Helios can directly refer their employees to the SupportRoom hub for targeted preventative and clinical mental health support. SupportRoom provides a comprehensive digital platform focusing on mental health, featuring clinical therapy, coaching, financial aid, and more. Organisations referred via Thymia will receive a customised package of resources and services at a discounted rate, tailored to the organisation's size and workforce's specific needs.
Ash Vipani, Founder at SupportRoom, comments: “We are thrilled about our new partnership with thymia. This collaboration marks a significant step in our journey to enhance mental health support and wellbeing. We are delighted to be working alongside a team that shares our vision and commitment to mental health. Together, we look forward to introducing innovative developments and making a meaningful impact in the mental health space."
Dr Emilia Molimpakis, neuroscientist and CEO and co-founder at thymia, comments: “We are really excited to be working with SupportRoom to improve employee mental health support. It’s really important that companies empower their employees to get a better handle on their mental health. After all, many of us spend the majority of our weeks at work, and work can play a big role in stress, anxiety and mental strain. By making mental health more easily measurable, and supporting employers to invest in targeted solutions to support employee mental health through SupportRoom, we hope to improve mental health outcomes and reduce stigma surrounding mental health at work.
“We also hope this partnership will enable mentally healthy employees to take a proactive approach to their mental wellness by tracking it more closely and leveraging the resources offered through SupportRoom to stay mentally well.”
Thymia Helios is unique globally, capable of assessing specific mental wellbeing areas by analysing just a few seconds of speech. Its AI models are based on over 600,000 minutes of voice and behaviour data from more than 11,000 individuals worldwide, the largest dataset of its kind.
Employers using Thymia receive periodic "Mental Wellness Pulse" reports, summarising their workforce's stress, burnout, tiredness, distress, and confidence levels. This enables them to address specific mental health needs and monitor changes over time. Thymia's technology has already reached over 12,000 people globally and has been utilised by organisations such as UNiDAYs, Endeavor, Preventx, Axiomatics, and Entrepreneur First.
