The startup nation: navigating challenges, fuelling innovation in tough times
Israeli startups continue to shine as beacons of innovation, demonstrating resilience in the face of adversity.
Tech It Forward, an innovation agency dedicated to scouting Israeli startups for international corporations in need of groundbreaking solutions, bears witness to the unwavering spirit of the Israeli tech ecosystem.
Despite the backdrop of conflict, the Israeli tech community remains undeterred, with individuals dedicating themselves wholeheartedly to their work, often exceeding expectations.
"We've seen our partners and startups working at 200% capacity, driven by a shared commitment to deliver innovation no matter the circumstances," says Jennifer Elias, Co-Founder of Tech It Forward. "We see investments happening, great exits, new startups created. We are part of a unique and impressive ecosystem, and we see it now more than ever."
A spirit of entrepreneurship and resilience
At the heart of Israel's resilience lies a cultural ethos shaped by a history of overcoming adversity. Israelis are renowned for their resourcefulness, adaptability, and unwavering determination. Rooted in a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship, this resilience fuels a dynamic ecosystem that thrives amidst uncertainty. From the battlefield to the boardroom, Israelis have honed their ability to pivot, innovate, and persevere, earning global recognition for their resilience.
In a world hungry for innovation, Israel emerges as an indispensable hub, offering solutions that address pressing global challenges. "Now more than ever, the world needs Israel," emphasises Jessica Rosner, Co-Founder of Tech It Forward. "The unparalleled ingenuity and resilience of Israeli startups are invaluable assets in our collective pursuit of progress."
Built on a robust support infrastructure
Central to Israel's success is its robust support infrastructure, featuring exemplary mental health programmes. Organisations like Clalit Innovation, the biggest Israeli HMO, and a partner of Tech It Forward, play a pivotal role in nurturing individuals' wellbeing, ensuring their resilience amidst adversity.
These entities not only identify critical challenges but also accelerate the process of discovering and implementing solutions. With a platform designed to support rapid proof of concept and scale, they exhibit agility in addressing pressing issues. Recently, Clalit Health Services issued a call to action, urging innovative companies to collaborate in addressing the escalating mental health crisis.
Numbers are good and so are prospects
Numbers are good. "Our international corporate partners have demonstrated remarkable commitment to innovation," says Rosner. "In just the past five months, we've conducted an impressive 12 Proof of Concepts (POCs) with Israeli startups. Furthermore, our work fostering collaboration remains unwavering, as we continue to organise roadshows, both virtually and in-person. Currently, we have six potential investments in progress, and we are running seven new corporate challenges awaiting innovative solutions."
As the world navigates uncertain waters, Tech It Forward remains committed to bridging the gap between international corporations and Israeli innovation. "Our mission is to harness the power of Israeli ingenuity to drive positive change on a global scale," affirms Elias and Rosner. "We have no doubt Israel and Israeli innovation will be shaping a brighter future for all."
