Sleepwave launches haptic smart alarm on the Apple Watch to improve people’s wake up
Healthtech startup Sleepwave is providing more ways to help people wake up fresh with the launch of its haptic smart alarm for the Apple Watch. Sleepwave is a revolutionary motion-sensing smart alarm and sleep tracking app that addresses an overlooked area of sleep health: the quality of our morning wake up.
The haptic smart alarm serves as an additional feature to the app’s contactless motion-sensing smart alarm. Created by the team behind top-rated health app SnoreLab, Sleepwave has invented new technology using the phone’s speaker and microphone to detect movements. The app’s patent-pending technology provides accurate, contactless sleep tracking and an improved wake up experience from a phone beside your bed.
Sleepwave’s new haptic smart alarm for Apple Watch is also linked to your body movements but uses the Watch’s accelerometer and wakes you with silent taps on your wrist to avoid disturbing your bed partner. Rather than setting a fixed alarm time, you can set a 15-minute time window and Sleepwave wakes you when you’re in a natural state of awakening, helping to reduce feelings of grogginess.
Jules Goldberg, Founder & CEO of Sleepwave says: “In the UK alone, over half the population wake up feeling groggy at least half of the week*. An alarm clock linked to your body movements can have a huge impact on your mood and energy. Sleepwave is focused on bringing everyone the benefits of a better wake up with our innovative technology.”
Key features include:
-
Haptic smart alarm for the Apple Watch: A smart alarm linked to your body movements that wakes you at a great moment
-
A silent awakening: Wake up with silent taps on your wrist to avoid waking your bed partner
-
Additional sleep tracking stats: Running Sleepwave on the Apple Watch provides insights to even more detailed sleep stats
Sleepwave has recently been featured on the App Store and is available on iOS and Android with a ‘Free until 2023’ offer that gives users access to premium features until the end of the year.
